Most health, nutrition, and weight loss programs are incomplete. They lack crucial factors needed to not only get results but make those results last a lifetime. I’ve created the Core 4 Principles to help identify and address underlying health issues, and make healthy living delicious and doable, so it’s sustainable.
Learn the right info and where to focus.
First, it’s important to clear up any misinformation. Many people eat well, exercise and “do all the right things,” but they’re still not getting results. They believe they need to try harder or that they’re “getting old.” Both approaches are frustrating, discouraging, and simply not true. Unfortunately, there’s an overwhelming amount of misinformation available, most of which is focused on profit and not on improving your health. I help you figure out fact from fiction and provide the tools needed to make better health choices.
Next, you need a practitioner that’s less focused on treating symptoms and more focused on getting to the underlying root causes. Symptoms are a sign of something bigger going on deep within your body. Unless causes are addressed, symptoms will continue to persist. When you identify and address underlying issues, you eliminate symptoms at the source and make much quicker progress.
Make healthy living enjoyable.
My double D’s are the secret to success, and I’m not talking about my ta-ta’s! My motto is delicious + doable = sustainable. The purpose of improving your health is to make life more enjoyable. It makes sense that your health program should be enjoyable too. Many people have a strict, calorie-counting attitude towards food. I recommend taking a fun and flexible approach that isn’t time-consuming, stressful or overly restrictive. Being healthy isn’t about altering your life overnight, but making small daily upgrades.
Make healthy living work for you.
When it comes to lifestyle changes, you want to start so small and make it so easy that you can’t not do it. The key to making improvements is to keep moving in the right direction, no matter how small that movement might be. Do what works for you, and it will be easier to make it an easy part of daily life. There’s no one size fits all. I help clients customize their program to fit their busy schedule and unique preferences.
Make healthy living last a lifetime.
Make healthy living last by learning how to make it part of your lifestyle. Support yourself and others. We’re stronger when we help each other feel better, be happier and create healthier generations to come.
