By
With warm weather, pool parties and Summer vacations it’s nice to have a healthier treat to indulge in that satisfies your cravings while keeping you cool. Few desserts are as irresistable as homemade ice cream. No more low-fat, high sugar store-bought junk filled with skim milk, corn syrup and ingredients you can’t pronounce. Although the idea may seem daunting, making fresh, flavorful homemade ice cream is easier than you think. In fact, all you need is a blender and some high-quality ingredients. Now you can enjoy something sweet without breaking a sweat!
Strawberry Ice Cream With Dark Chocolate
This recipe is a well-balanced creamy delight, with refreshing fruity flavor and drool-worthy dark chocolate! Time: 5 minutes. Serves 2.
INGREDIENTS
1 Cup Organic heavy cream or full-fat canned coconut milk
To taste Stevia (plain or flavored)
1 TSP Cinnamon
2 TSP Vanilla, extract
2 Cups Strawberries, frozen
1 Banana, peeled, frozen
4 OZ Chocolate, 88% dark
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine all ingredients, except the chocolate and 1/2 the fruit in a blender. Blend for 1 minute, pushing down the edges with a spoon. Add the remaining fruit. Blend for 2 more minutes or until thick & creamy like soft-serve ice cream. Add more strawberries to thicken or more cream to thin. Taste & adjust accordingly. Enjoy with chocolate! For decoration, top with a sprig of fresh mint!
