By far, my favorite cooking appliance is the Sous Vide Supreme. Sous Vide or “soo-veed” is a french culinary technique in which vacuum-sealed food is cooked in a warm water bath. The consistent temperature of the Sous Vide results in perfectly cooked meats, poultry, fish, eggs and vegetables.
This method of cooking makes it easy for home cooks, even those with zero cooking experience, to produce restaurant-quality dishes. There’s no overcooking with a Sous Vide, which means more flavor and more nutrients. Finally, no more stressful experiences grilling outside! Simply, seal the food in BPA-free plastic, set the Sous Vide temperature, immerse the food in the water bath, set the timer and walk away. Much like a slow cooker or crock pot, you can leave food in the Sous Vide for hours and even days!
Although it’s quite an investment, it’s well-worth every penny. As a lover of good food and things that make life easier, I’m a huge fan of my Sous Vide Supreme! Bon Appétit!
